OK so we finished Life of Fred Fractions and Life of Fred decimals and percents (ok well, we almost finished it). But the shiny has worn off, we are now exploring Plan B.
Plan b consists of Mortensen Math and Saxon Math. Mortensen Math is like Montessori Math in plastic and extended to algebra, calculus and trigonometry. We are doing the drill that goes with the Saxon math (it only takes about 20 minutes and it's done wonders for her speed). More on all this later.
We're just starting out w/Life of Fred. I'm anxious to hear how Mortenson works for you, 'cuz I was wondering what we'd do after Fred's life ... LOL!

Mortensent is great - however, you can forget giving them the stuff and walking off. This is a hands on deal. On the upside, the understanding is great. We are using it with the 10 year old. The dd is using aleks (online), like teaching textbooks on steroids. It seems to be going very smoothly (for the last 2 months). Will post an update again soon.

I've never heard of Mortensen Math before but it looks really interesting.
