We are trying something else now - Teaching Textbooks, and have found this suits our grade 7 math son. It runs on the computer and you can almost leave them to do it themselves. For our southern kids, the yankee accent (mid west) can be a little bit grating. But the explanations are great and you can ask for them to be repeated over and over and......... I give it 5 stars now!
There is a great group of Christian Preschool products that is like a Christian Sesame Street with books and DVD's.... check it out at www.littlebuds.com My grandkids love them!

We think teaching texbooks are the best we have used...a bit expensive so we only use them on our 7th graders and above.

I think text book teaching can be used only after standard 5..Till then the child has to learn only through assumptions..
